Founded
Tommie Alexander founded Hooked on Baby in September of 2006 after having her first
child.  Her daughter was 8 months old and had just enough hair to accessorize, but
Tommie was only able to find plain pink, yellow, and white hair bows.  Determined for
more color and design, she sat down and made her own.  Once her husband, Sagar,
saw her designs, he told her she had created something to behold and thus, Hooked
on Baby was born.

Products
Though Hooked on Baby started with hair bows, new products were born and launched
in early July, 2007.  Now the store also offers
diaper cakes, candles, gift baskets, bow
arrangements, picture frames, wall letters, and baby shower planning (for the Houston
area only).  Everything offered is hand made, painted, or designed.

Charity
Hooked on Baby will donate 10% from each diaper cake to charity.  Each year on our
anniversary, we will select a different charity organization to donate to for a year.  We will
be accepting nominations throughout the year for the following anniversary.  This year
we have chosen The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children*.
The Center is the brainchild of John Walsh, host of the television program America's
Most Wanted, whose son Adam was abducted and murdered at age 6. Founded nearly
20 years ago, the Center created the first nationwide missing-children
emergency-response system by coordinating the efforts of law enforcement agencies,
legislators, educators, and the public.
*83% Proceeds used directly for program, 4% fund-raising, 3% administration.
